The 17th Shanghai Fastener Expo & Automotive Fastener Exhibition (Fastener Expo Shanghai 2027, or "FES 2027") has been officially scheduled to be held from March 3-5, 2027 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

This year's exhibition will cover an area of ​​over 75,000 square meters, and is expected to attract more than 1,500 exhibitors and over 55,000 professional visitors. It will utilize three main exhibition halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai): 1.1H, 2.1H, and 3H, showcasing finished fasteners, automotive fasteners, non-standard connectors, industrial assembly and tightening technologies, fastener production equipment, mold consumables, testing and screening equipment, packaging equipment, raw materials, and related supply chain solutions.

With the continuous development of industries such as new energy vehicles, wind power, energy storage, aerospace, high-end equipment, and rail transportation, the functions of fasteners are expanding from traditional mechanical connections to lightweight, high-reliability, high-precision assembly, and applications in complex working conditions. End customers are increasingly demanding higher standards for product performance, consistency, delivery capabilities, manufacturing efficiency, and comprehensive quality control. Competition in the fastener industry is gradually shifting from competition based on single products and prices to competition in technology, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution channels, and integrated service capabilities.

Based on this change, FES 2027 will further strengthen industry collaboration between fastener manufacturing, distribution, and end-user applications. Hall 1.1 will focus on showcasing branded fasteners, automotive fasteners, high-strength fasteners, stainless steel fasteners, non-standard and custom-shaped parts, and fastening and connection solutions for specific industrial scenarios.

Faced with the increasing demand for connection reliability in industries such as automotive, new energy, aerospace, and high-end equipment, the exhibition will further promote fastener companies to extend beyond simply providing standardized products to participating in customer product development, material selection, structural design, assembly optimization, and reliability improvement.

AFTE Industrial Assembly and Tightening Technology Zone Added in 2027

FES 2027 will add an AFTE Industrial Assembly and Tightening Technology Zone in Hall 1.1, focusing on intelligent tightening and high-precision assembly, innovative connection processes, lightweight connection technologies, fastening and anti-loosening, and related automated assembly solutions.

Application areas of the zone will cover automotive and automotive parts, wind power, energy, industrial machinery, rail transportation, aerospace, intelligent robots, eVTOL, and energy storage facilities. In addition to traditional threaded fasteners, the dedicated zone will further focus on riveting, welding, fusion welding, press-fitting, bonding, and adhesive application processes in industrial manufacturing, driving the exhibition to expand from showcasing fastener products to providing comprehensive industrial fastening and connection solutions.

Hall 2.1 will showcase bolts, nuts, screws, washers, retaining rings, riveting components, self-drilling screws, and various standard and custom-made fasteners.

Targeting the purchasing characteristics of traders, distributors, and end-user buyers, Hall 2.1 will form a more concentrated fastener product supply area, facilitating professional buyers to compare suppliers and conduct business negotiations based on materials, standards, application areas, production capacity, and delivery conditions.

3H: Fastener Equipment and Molds Hall

Hall 3 focuses on the fastener manufacturing process, showcasing cold heading machines, nut rolling machines, thread rolling machines, thread processing equipment, screening and testing equipment, packaging equipment, fastener molds, wire, and related production support solutions.

From raw materials, cold heading, and thread processing to testing, screening, packaging, and automated production, the exhibition hall will primarily serve the needs of fastener manufacturers for capacity upgrades, equipment renewal, automation transformation, and production efficiency improvement.

With manufacturing costs, quality stability, and delivery cycles becoming core competitive factors for enterprises, production equipment and automation capabilities are becoming an important part of fastener companies' efforts to enhance their competitiveness.

The 6th National Industrial Bar and Wire Rod (Shanghai) Conference will strengthen technical collaboration between steel material suppliers and fastener manufacturers, discussing material performance, quality stability, new material development, and actual fastener processing needs.

In addition, FES 2027 will also host a Low-Altitude Flight & Automotive Fastening Connection Technology Forum, focusing on emerging application scenarios such as fastening connections for new energy vehicles, intelligent automotive manufacturing, and future aviation. The forum plans to invite automotive and related end-product manufacturers, research and testing institutions, and fastener and connection technology suppliers to discuss changes in fastening connection technology under the background of high reliability, high performance, and lightweighting, and how fastener companies can further develop from traditional component supply to systematic connection solutions.

The 3rd Huawang Shanghai Fastener Equipment Procurement Festival will continue to be held during FES 2027, addressing the equipment investment needs of fastener manufacturers.

The 2026 Shanghai Fastener Professional Exhibition Equipment Procurement Festival facilitated the sale of 415 pieces of equipment. The 2027 event will continue to cover major production stages such as cold heading, nut forming, thread rolling, screening, testing, and packaging, and will create more direct transaction scenarios for equipment suppliers and fastener manufacturers with clear investment needs through procurement incentives and related support measures.

From 2010 to 2027, FES Continuously Connects the Fastener Industry

Since its inception in 2010, the Shanghai Fastener Professional Exhibition has been successfully held for sixteen sessions.

The 16th Shanghai Fastener Professional Exhibition in 2026 will cover an exhibition area of ​​70,000 square meters, bringing together more than 1,400 exhibitors and attracting 51,903 professional visitors, including 4,578 overseas visitors. After years of development, the exhibition's exhibitors and visitors now encompass fastener manufacturers, equipment and mold companies, raw material suppliers, distributors, traders, automotive and industrial end-users, domestic and international industry associations, and supply chain service organizations. Building on this foundation, FES 2027 will further expand to over 75,000 square meters, attracting more than 1,500 exhibitors and over 55,000 professional visitors.

In 2027, FES will continue to uphold the concept of "China Fasteners Together," further consolidating upstream and downstream resources in the fastener industry chain, enabling products, technologies, equipment, channels, and procurement needs to be connected and coordinated more efficiently in Shanghai.
