2026-04-16
The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), also known as the Canton Fair, is a window, microcosm, and symbol of China's opening up to the outside world. It is an important platform for international trade cooperation, playing a vital role in promoting China's foreign trade development and facilitating Sino-foreign economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. It is hailed as "China's No. 1 Exhibition," a "driving force," a "barometer," and a "weathervane" of China's foreign trade.
The Canton Fair is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre. Since its inception in 1957, it has been held twice a year in Guangzhou, China, in spring and autumn, and has been successfully held 138 times to date. The Canton Fair is currently China's longest-running, largest-scale, most comprehensive international trade fair, attracting the most buyers from the widest range of origins, achieving the best transaction results, and enjoying the highest reputation. The 138th Canton Fair attracted over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, setting a new record.
The 139th Canton Fair will open on April 15th, with a total exhibition area of approximately 1.55 million square meters.
